All of the Sextet records are amazing but this one has always been my favorite. I find it one of the most exciting and rewarding recordings ever made. As far as I know this is its first digital release. The other two About Time titles were released on CD many years ago but never this one.

A very interesting album. At a few places I keep asking myself: Was this composed by Arnold Schönberg (or his disciples)? Anyway, I'm all for skilled musicians exploring the boundary (if one exists) between jazz and classical. Thumbs up!

I really appreciate that with such a large group of musicians the overall sound and experience of listening is really spacious, never cluttered. The lovely recording helps that a lot, and of course the compositional aspects that make it breathe are superb- it gets more and more fun as I listen again and again.
